This tour is over 2 days. You will join Whanganui River Adventures on the daily tour to the Bridge to Nowhere, once you have had lunch and walk back out to the Mangapurua Landing, your driver and guide will give you full instructions and a demonstration on how to operate your canoe where you will paddle 2 hours down the river to Tieke Kainga/hut. The next day you will paddle down to Pipiriki. (4-5hrs)
Day1: Join Whanganui River Adventures on our daily tour to the Bridge To Nowhere. Once you have returned back to the river after visiting the "Bridge To Nowhere" your driver/guide will give you instructions and a demonstration on how to paddle your canoe. From the Mangapurua landing you paddle 2hrs (12kms) down to Tieke Kainga/hut.
Day2: From Tieke Kainga/hut you have a 20km paddle down to Pipiriki. This takes approximately 4-5 hours through some of the best scenery on the Whanganui River, with long sections of water and also some rapids to keep it interesting.

OHAKUNE/NATIONAL PARK: Allow 1 hour comfortable drive
DIRECTION: Once arriving in Pipiriki slow down at the two story house as we are only a short 50m from there on the right side where our Whanganui River Adventures sign is. Come up the driveway to a RED Building with a large paved carparking site.
WANGANUI/TAUMARUNUI: Allow 1.5 – 2 hrs comfortable drive
DIRECTION: Via the State Highway 4 and Whanganui River Road turn-off at Pipiriki intersection turn right (1st Sign) coming up road 200 metres to our(2nd sign) at the driveway then come up the drive to the RED Building with the large paved parking area.

Minimum number and ages apply. Prior bookings. Weather dependant and river conditions. What to bring: Overnight clothing, sleeping bag and tent, food and cooking utensils.
