The Cable Bay Adventure Park is Nelson's adventure playground and located less than 15 minutes north of Nelson’s city centre. The Adventure Parks signature ride is the Skywire experience – a 3.2km flying fox experience with a mix of adrenaline and scenery suitable for all most all ages (min height 1.2m). Other activities include Quad biking, rock climbing and E-bike / Mountain Bike rental. The park also operates a small petting zoo, eel feeding and Archery (3rd party operator). An expanding range of Mountain bike and walking trails are also available for use by the public free of charge. The parks onsite Base café is also open year-round with a range of inhouse and local products including Pomeroy’s coffee, Chia sisters’, Hop Federation and Eddyline craft beer, Seifrieds wine, Appleby's Ice-cream and goodies from food forest catering. The park is open all year round except for Christmas day, with longer opening hours over the summer months for people to enjoy the balmy nelson summer evenings. The Cable Bay Adventure Park is a certified carbon Zero company by Toitu Envirocare and has a large range of environmental projects taking place on the property – these include a major riparian restoration along the main river edge, an onsite native plant nursery and an extensive predator control program

Our Signature attraction, The Skywire experience! One of the World’s longest Flying Fox experiences - the one-of-a-kind ride is a shot of adrenaline mixed with an amazing scenic ride high above the forest canopy. Set 300 metres above the Base Cafe your trip starts with a 4km mini-bus journey up through the park to the launch platform of the Skywire. The ride takes up to 4 people at a time, seated side by side, strapped into individual racing car style seats with 5 point harnesses and can reach speeds of up to 100km/hr travelling both forward and backwards, with 800 metres of gravity assisted freewheeling in each direction.
Scenic Guided Quad bike tours! Self drive up to 14kms of trail through native forested areas, lookouts to the Tasman sea, farm land and river trails. Choose between a 1.5hour guided tour or a 2.5hour tour to really give yourself the full expereince.

Our adventure activities aren't suitable for kids under 5 years old however we do have a small petting zoo area, eel feeding and scoot bikes available for hire. We also have an onsite Café where you can relax on the sunny deck or under the tree's and enjoy morning tea or lunch.
