Puzzling World is an iconic, world-unique and award winning attraction that since 1973 has been fascinating people of all ages and nationalities keen to engage in a fun, challenging and sensory experience.

Encouraging problem solving, exercise and fun we invented the modern maze format with over-bridges and underpasses to create the world’s first 3-D ‘Mega Maze’.

If your mind isn’t boggled, visiting the Illusion Rooms is sure to. From two brand new, fully immersive 'glow rooms', a room where famous faces seem to follow you, one where you appear to shrink or grow, another where objects glide uphill and a sun-filled gallery of illusionary sculptures, these incredible rooms are designed to challenge your reality!

Even between each of our Illusion Rooms, in a collective area we call “the walls of wonder” you’ll find incredible art, brain-stretching conundrums and crafts from around the world that demonstrate just how illusions have crossed the globe, and the ages.

Also boasting the popular Puzzle Centre, Cafe, Gift Shop and wacky toilets (more photo moments!) along with the crazy building “folly’s” on the front lawn, we invite you to come and enjoy Wanaka’s wonderful world of weirdness!
