Explore the culture, history, and sustainability of the region as you voyage to the Māori Rock Carvings at Mine Bay. We will take you right up close to the 14 metre high face of Ngatoroirangi. The carvings are only accessible by water. The main carving is the face of an 800 year old ancestor. The face is surrounded by smaller sculptures depicting ancestors and kaitiaki (guardians).

Please be at the boat 15 minutes before we depart to check in and grab a seat. We leave on time.
Barbary yachts are located at Berth 9 & 10, Redoubt Street, Taupo Boat Harbour, Taupo. You can access the Taupo Boat Harbour from Ferry Road (off Lake Terrace, at the southern end of Tongariro Street) Story Place or Redoubt Street.
You will find Sail Barbary located in front of STIR Cafe - a little dark grey converted caravan cafe.
Look for the tall white and green blade flag with ELECTRIC YACHT in white on it, this is where you need to meet.
Berth numbers are on the dark grey bollards in front of each boat. Do not google the numbers as you will be sent to the wrong place.
Minimum numbers apply: There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative boat, date or full refund.
What to Bring: Dress casual, comfortable and warm (layered clothes work best), windproof/showerproof jacket, swimwear and towel (during summer), sunglasses and hat.
