As we set sail, you’ll leave the bustling city behind, cruising under Auckland’s iconic Harbour Bridge and past landmarks such as the Chelsea Sugar Refinery, Kauri Point, and Herald Island. Our knowledgeable guide provides an informative commentary throughout the trip, offering fascinating insights into the region’s maritime history.

The cruise continues into the serene and less-traveled waters of Auckland’s upper Waitemata Harbour, passing by Riverlea, Brighams Creek, and Harkins Point. Our destination is the award-winning Riverhead Tavern, a historic venue with a colorful past. For around 150 years, this tavern has hosted a diverse array of visitors, from fishermen and farmers to smugglers and clergymen, all contributing to its rich history.

Upon arrival at The Riverhead, you’ll have 2.5 hours to explore and enjoy the tavern’s offerings. Although meals are not served on the boat, a fully licensed bar is available for you to purchase drinks. Once at the tavern, indulge in a fantastic meal and a few drinks in one of its four unique venues, each designed to cater to different entertainment needs. After savoring the fine dining and picturesque riverside scenery, reboard the vessel for a relaxing return journey to Auckland, soaking in the beautiful vistas of the upper harbour.
